How do I get sFTP access to my Wordpress site?

Secure STP (sFTP) Access is available to your site if you need it. Note this is for expert users, and we generally don't give this out initially for no other reason than security.

It should be noted that in most cases, sFTP should not be required to make changes. We have a very securely Managed WordPress environment, so changes you may be used to on another hosting platform may not be possible on ours.

For example, you will not be able to modify anything in the root directory or any WordPress core files - this is because we take the security of your site very seriously. You will be able to modify files in the Themes and Plugins directories.

Your sFTP details are available via your login to our control panel at https://wp.sixfive.io/

This also allows you to update and modify a plethora of other settings, your backups, access logs, and migrate staging > live in one click.

To access your site’s files via SFTP, configure your SFTP client using the following settings:

  • Mode SFTP (not regular FTP)
  • Host (Find this in your control panel)
  • Port 22
  • Username (Find this in your control panel)
  • Password(Find this in your control panel)

Please let us know if you need sFTP, or don't have control panel access by emailing [email protected] and we'll get you set up right away!
